Blimps, Red Bull and Girls?

Tags: No Tags

blimpy goodnessYesterday coming back from having some lunch just as I was pulling into the carpark interchange I saw this huge red blimp just up in the sky. Now in Toowoomba there are very little things other then birds in the sky so seeing a huge red blimp certainly got my attention. The blimp was the Holden Big Red Blimp and has a massive tv on the side of it, infact its claimed to be the worlds biggest TV. When I saw it they were just using it as a scrolling marque type setup saying to go to Toowoomba Holden.

Well I have been emailing Jamie to and back since he commented here a lil while ago. Jamie was one of my old best friends from school so its been great to catchup with him on everything as i havent really spoken to him since the end of school (5 years ago now!).

Also Brent is making a good recovery from his breakup with Carol and is already back in the scene and looking to be setting up a date with some new girl he’s met, no picture from her though yet! :O Hopefully will go all well for him though!

fridge of bullThis weekend me and Gemma are heading down to Brisbane to go clubbing for Ryan’s birthday. We’re staying at my sisters place so it will be great to catchup with her as well. What I really cant wait for is going to Ikea on Sunday to do some furniture shopping for the new office. Got the whole meeting/reception room to do along with some more items for our rooms, will put up shots when done! Speaking of the office I have run out of room now for any more Red Bull as the pic to the leftt shows. Guess it just mean Ill have to drink more!

Lastly I finally got my Home Theatre PC finished off and running stable so Ill be certain to make a post about it and my adventures with it shortly.

Damn that V Drink is Nasty

Tags: No Tags

V DrinkWell after stocking up the office fridge with some Red Bull I thought I might put in some of the V Black drinks as well. Brent has been going on about them tasting better then Red Bull (although I do like the taste of Red Bull now) and I thought I might as well give them a go. So this morning I did and needless to say theres an opened 95% full V Black sitting in the fridge, it tasted horrible!

So back to the Red Bull sugarfree (gotta watch that weight!) for me and another one added to my stash Red Bullof empty Red Bull cans, can’t wait to see what kind of can booty I can end up with in a few months time!

I was silly to think that the V would taste any better, I mean come on the drink is made in New Zealand and V doesn’t have an office like Red Bull with slides between each level! Weeeee back to Red Bull for me :)

And damn look how fancy i am now having photos in my post…

New Phone Hurray! I-Mate SP5

Tags: No Tags

After my last phone (I-Mate SP3i) having a few little hiccups (keypad joystick not working at times) which then went on to be become an even worse situation after giving the phone to a repairer in town in the morning to look at and quote on fixing. I went back in the afternoon to see how it all went and to pick it up (as the problem was only intermitent) and he said that he won’t be able to fix it but his repairer in Melbourne will be able to. He said that they can quote on it before repairing it and the he will send it down that afternoon if I wanted him to. I said thats all fine and that I just needed to get some numbers out of the phone. He handed it over and said he couldnt get the keypad to work at all (never happened before) and asked if there was some trick to fix it and I said no, you just turn it on. He then said he never opened it up and that it just happened which I think is just pure BS.

Anyways he sent the phone down to the repairer who said there was no parts available for it through Imate so I was given the phone in a completely useless state. Not happy at all so Its time to take action. I called another repairer in town who is currently analysing the phone to see if they can work out what has happened to it so I can find the other repairer responsible for the phone and to give me some kind of compensation, as I am in no mood for someone to F up my phone and get away with it.

So anyways…. :) I can’t stand not being without my phone with some of nice features it had so I got myself a new Imate SP5 which is the updated version of my own SP3i and god damn it is one nice phone. In looks its certainly quite a bit nicer then the older model (althought the older model still does look quite good) and the speed difference is quite noticeable. Infact a lot of things have been improved compared to the old model which is great. It actually runs Windows Mobile 5.0 and just overall is much quicker especially on booting up and also going through messages and menus. Also seems a lot more stable then older model. Also has a few newer features such as a better camera and now with built in wi-fi which is great.

Now Ive got the fun task of trying to sync the phone with my laptop. I can easily sync my contacts/meetings/appointments using Outlook but Im not a big fan of Microsoft software and use the lovely Mozilla Thundbird as my email client which has now also just added built in calendar support through an extension called Lightning.

My only drama now is to get the SP5 to sync with Thunderbirdas it is made to sync with Outlook only. Thankfully someone has released a program called Birdiesync which is designed to sync most flavours of the Windows mobile editions with Mozilla programs such as Thunderbird, Lightning and Sunbird. The first problem I ran into with the SP5 was that it is not able to installed unsigned applications such as Birdiesync but a quick search led me to this blog post which shows how to unlock the SP5.

All moved and ready to go

Tags: No Tags

Today was a great day for the business - we moved all of our current office gear into our new office. We managed to get ourselves a nice office setup on the ground level of the Heritage Plaza in the centre of town. So as you can guess things are going great still for us and hopefully keep on building up from here on :)

Been quite a bit happening of late for myself as well, me and Gem went down to Jamboree in her car and managed to get a 14.3 out of the car which we were overally happy with. Also got to have some time away from work for a couple of days which was well deserved.

Heaps of other things Im certain but not much I can think of straight away so my apoligies on that but hey Im still here and going on :)
