Storms hitting us hard and some old website

Yesterday afternoon our house and most of the surrounding neighbourhood (Centenary Heights, Toowoomba to be exact) got hit by a pretty storm yesterday afternoon (Friday) infact bad enough to have a branch fall on the powerlines near our house and fall on the road. Gemma gave me a call yesterday afternoon to tell me she just got home from a severe storm that should couldn’t see anything through and that there was parts of trees everywhere and the power was out along with police etc. at the end of the street attending to the broken powerline.

When I was driving home later in the afternoon I had forgotten about it all until I cam into our suburb and started to notice leaves and little branches all over the road and then it just got worst. There were massive branches push aside off the road and a few SES cars at peoples houses, we got hit pretty bad. According to the paper it was mainly our suburb that got the worst of it and that winds over 100km/h were recorded causing most the mayhem along with us not having any power till 9:30pm!

Yes I am still working on that new design, just I have been so busy in the business of late with heaps of new clients coming aboard. That and also I am working all this weekend to have Monday off as its the only day Gemma could get off.

The other day I remembered about the Internet Archive Wayback Machine which is an awesome website that is practically most the websites off the Internet archived for everyone to re-live. Its a great project and I hope it carries on because it is great to look at some old websites such as the first ever commercial website I designed! I like to think my skills are just a bit better now
