Road Trip 07 - The End

We’re all home and safe now as our Road Trip has now ended (over 4000kms!). We drove from Sydney to Gem’s sister’s place at the Gold Coast via the Pacific Highway which was a pretty good drive. Certainly not as quick as I thought it would have been but it was more scenic then the inland route.

We saw three crashes along it with one that was quite major. It was around 4 cars and truck that had all hit each other and scattered across the place. Didn’t seem like anyone was majorly injured but the cars and truck we’re in a pretty bad condition. At the time the rain was so heavy that we nearly had to pull over which Im guessing must have passed through just before we saw the crash. The only damage we got was a massive rock hitting the glass and causing a considerably star on the windscreen, if only Gemma could have dodged it
We managed to cart a dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts back as well which we were glad that we did. Today we left Gem’s Sister’s place and went home via the DFO at the airport to go get a new set of sheets, quilt and pillows for our bed as after sleeping in some nicer beds I don’t think we could go back to ours! We managed to get the gear from Sheridan there and spent over $400 on the stuff so hopefully be having a nice sleep tonight

All up the trip was well worth doing and would suggest anyone else to give it a go as well just see across Australia as there is quite a bit of stuff out there that would suprise you!
