Road Trip 07 - Day Six

We have now left Adelaide and are now in a motel in the regional city of Warrnambool. Warrnambool is just located at the start of the Great Ocean Road which we will set off on tommorrow morning so it was an ideal stop over location before we spend most of today on that road. Infact just tonight I found out some interesting facts on it such as its the world’s largest war memorial as it was built by the serviceman of World War I by just picks, shovels and dynamites in memory of their fallen comrades.
The drive from Adelaide to Warrnambool was pretty good most of the way until hitting the Victorian Border. Simply because we have hear how strict the police are here with speeding (friends being booked doing 61 in 60 zones) and the road from Adelaide was all 110 until the border!
It was a far more scenic drive then the almost deserts we had previously gone through with a few nice sights along the way such as the unexpected Wind Farms at Codrington which were great to see. We also went to the lookout that looks at The Crags rocks (pictured).
The rest of the drive to Warrnambool was nice and green and just so weird to see rural land with cows right next to the ocean!
