Road Trip 07 - Day Seven

We arrived in Melbourne on Day Seven of the trip after passing through the Great Ocean Drive which we would give a high recommondation to go on. Its a great drive as long as you don’t have any slow cars in front of you! We then passed through via Bells Beach (just had to visit there) and then through Geelong to arrive in our hotel, Oaks on Market.I got worried at first when we went to park for our hotel as we had been advised they don’t have a guest car park (it seems very few places do in the city) and the sign to the underground carpark they recommended over the road said $42 for a full day parking but we parked in there and upon checking in they said they give us some discount card that makes it $15 a day, just a bit better, especially for 3 days worth!

When we booked the hotel I requested a higher level room and damn did they look after us, we got level 21, the top level! We had a great view of the city and across the river, be certain to post some pics of that on my flickr account later on.

We then head off to have some dinner and a night at the casino, we went to the Crown Complex and damn is it one great location. Restaraunts and 24 hour food court outside of the casino and the casino has 4 levels, the bottom is just poker rooms, the ground level is most the pokies and a few game tables including an awesome almost 20 player sic-bo setup and the first level has most the blackjack and other game tables and the second level has three nightclubs! Gem had a good single $25 win on the pokies and I had a good win at blackjack bringing me up an extra $40 for the night.
